New! NUVO™ Blocking Pads

By experimenting with a variety of solutions to help prevent twisting and slipping on regular and AR coated lenses, we have developed our latest design, proudly designated NUVO™. NUVO™ uses a new material that combines an ideal thickness, density and adhesive. This unique combination of product qualities has proven to deliver superior edging results.

NUVO™ uses a slightly thinner material to minimize twisting. The softer material improves the pad’s performance in two ways: (1) A lens and block rarely have a perfect fit so the softer material is better suited to fill the gaps that occur between the lens and the block. This leads to better “wet-out” or greater surface area adhesion between the pad and the lens. (2) The softer material also absorbs some of the initial impact shock that is created when the lens makes contact with the grinding wheel.

NUVO™ utilizes an entirely new adhesive that offers the best possible grip to minimize slippage, yet still deblocks easily and cleanly, leaving behind virtually no residue.
